From April 15 through 27, the Gene Siskel Film Center collaborates with the Chicago Palestine Film Festival to present the tenth annual festival representing the spirit and mood of contemporary Palestinian life. This festival is dedicated to exhibiting film and video work that is open, critical, and reflective of the culture, experience, and vision of the artists.

Love During Wartime is now coming to Göteborg, with a screening on Tuesday, January 24 at 18.00, and on Wednesday, January 25 at 20.00, at Bio Roy. Daily newspaper Dagens Nyheter (DN), meanwhile, writes about the difficulties the team had at first in trying to find a suitable couple that wasn’t faced by the daunting prospect of so publicly confronting their problems head-on. This is one of the reasons it took nine (!) years to complete the film.

Finally, DagensETC has a big interview with Bier, where she tells about her view on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the process of creating the documentary.
